Problem: You receive an error that installation of Java Cryptological Extensions failed or you receive an error when you try to log onto the management web portal: "An error occurred encrypting data. Please ensure you have the Java Cryptological Extensions installed".

SolutionMost likely you will need to reinstall the Java Cryptological Extensions.

The 2 files are usually found here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\Access\Access Server\JCE

They are:

local_policy.jar

US_Export_Policy.jar

If the files are not there, you can download them from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jce-7-download-432124.html.

You will need to copy them to C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\lib\security. These 2 files will replace the versions already present in that directory. Note: You may need to change the path depending on how and where Java is installed. Once the encryption files have been copied into the Java folder, restart the Acronis Access Tomcat service from the Service Control Manager (services.msc).
